Overall Character

This is a dramatic interpretation of Ilford HP5 Plus 400, using the Fujifilm X-T20's ACROS rendering as its foundation. The Red filter changes how colours are translated into monochrome, darkening blue and cyan tones and giving skies greater depth and separation from clouds.

The Shadow +2 setting produces deeper blacks and a more pronounced sense of contrast. Weak grain keeps the texture restrained, while Sharpness -1 and Noise Reduction -3 help avoid an overly processed digital appearance.

Designed for the Fujifilm X-T20: Shoot JPEG + uncompressed RAW so the finished monochrome JPEG is ready to use while the original RAW remains available for later processing.
